ScreenBuddy is a macOS screen recorder with the editor built in. Record, then zoom, annotate and export without moving the file into another app. The zooms are not placed by hand. ScreenBuddy reads the click track from your recording and generates the moves from it, 1.25x to 5x, smoothly interpolated. Every generated zoom stays editable on the timeline, so you can retime or delete any of them. Also included: spotlight and lightbox focus effects, 3D camera control with depth of field and camera-path presets, a real 3D MacBook frame built with three.js, real macOS cursors rasterized at 8x so they stay sharp when zoomed, local AI captions, 18 backdrop presets, timeline annotations with blur overlays, 7 aspect ratios, a webcam overlay that shrinks when you zoom, background music, crop, trim, and MP4 or GIF export at up to source resolution. Recordings and edits stay on the device. Internet access is required for licence activation and update checks. macOS 12 Monterey or later on Apple Silicon and Intel. Windows 10 or later is also supported, and Instant Mode is macOS only. One-time licence: $29.99 until 15 August 2026, then $49. No subscription, future updates included. hi! creator of screenbuddy here! i built this because i don't want to pay subscription for screen recorder, i want more features out of one recorder & editor features and there really should be more than one way to attract users' attention other than just auto-zoom.
